About Me: Children’s Author
I have always been a writer. I created my first picture book by the time I was 10, and many, many years later, I earned my MFA in Writing for Children, Picture Books, from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
I write for children because I love language and the magic that happens when a story captivates a child.
I believe that books open children’s minds and inspire their imagination. The best books don’t teach kids as much as they indulge the creative centers in their minds, feed their hearts, and entice them to love nature, to laugh, to imagine, and to want to read more and more.
What nobler profession could I have?
